James advises entrepreneurs, investors, and emerging companies in a variety of corporate and securities transactions. His practice focuses on general corporate counseling, venture capital and growth equity financings, and mergers and acquisitions. James represents clients from internet and software technology companies to venture capital firms and investor groups.
James holds a J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law. As a law student, James was awarded Moot Court Competition Honors, served as a faculty research assistant, and clerked for the United States Senate Judiciary Committee. Prior to attending law school, James worked in business strategy, process improvement, and human resources roles for a Fortune 200 privately owned company.
James holds an M.B.A. from the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Arizona. James served as the Student Body President of the University of Arizona and was awarded the Outstanding Senior Leader award for the 2011-2012 academic year.
